Dr Boundia Alexandre THIOMBIANO

Dr. Boundia Alexandre THIOMBIANO is a Socio-economist, specialized in Sustainable agro-ecological and resilient livelihoods systems. He holds an Engineer degree in Rural development/Socio-economy from the Institute of Rural Development at the Université Nazi Boni (former Université Polytechnique de Bobo-Dioulasso) in Burkina Faso; and a PhD in Climate Change and Land Use from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Studies in Ghana under the International Graduate research program of the West African Science Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL). Dr Boundia Alexandre THIOMBIANO is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Rural Development in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. Since 2018, he is an external partner of CGIAR Research program Grain Legume Dry Cereal (GLDC) at International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA, Cairo office, Egypt). From 2016-2018 he was external partner of CGIAR Research program Drylands Systems at International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA, Amman office, Jordan). His research areas cover climate change, resilient livelihoods, agro-ecology, agent based modelling, IT & livelihoods improvement in rural areas.
